Digital Port Call Application for port communication and coordination

The Digital Port Call application enables seamless communication and coordination related to ship arrivals, port visits, and departures. The application improves predictability, reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and enhances the operational efficiency of the port.

Weasel Software supported Awake.AI in implementation the Digital Port Call application. Acting as a development partner, Weasel brought strong technical expertise in usability design and application development to the project. The solution was developed through close and agile cooperation and was deployed in production in May 2024.

The Digital Port Call application is part of a broader digitalization initiative at the port, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,000 tons annually and achieve significant time savings during port calls. The application enables virtual arrival notifications, allowing captains to optimize vessel speed and avoid unnecessary anchoring. This not only improves efficiency but also reduces costs and supports sustainable maritime operations.
